Warner Bros. needed an unqualified win at SDCC this past weekend. Did they get one with the “Aquaman” and “Shazam!” trailers? It certainly appears they did.
Aquaman is back, and he’s got lots of friends with him in the first glimpse we’ve gotten of the hero since his appearance in “Justice League” last November.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” delivers solid Marvel-style entertainment, thanks to its talented cast and inventive action. The fast paced storytelling, the humor, the in-jokes, they’re all here, and most of them work.
While it does not match the overall quality of “Wonder Woman,” “Justice League” does just enough right to be fun night out at the movies, especially if you’re a fan of the characters or of the genre.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is back, and most importantly, he’s back in a film that’s easily the most enjoyable solo outing for the character in over a decade.
