“The Water Diviner” marks a fine debut directing effort for Russell Crowe, who also leads an exceptional cast in this beautifully shot historical war drama, inspired by true events.
The latest Nicholas Sparks novel-turned-film is a terribly uneven effort. It has its moments of charm, but they’re far outnumbered by bland performances, shallow characterization, and worn-out clichés.
“Furious 7” works much the same crazy-insane, super fun car chase and fight scene magic as previous entries in the series, but also delivers in the emotional sense as the film pays tribute to the late Paul Walker.
“Get Hard” features just about everything you might expect to find in a movie with Will Farrell and Kevin Hart. Miraculously, it all manages to come together into something that’s actually funny.
